David Cone joins Disgruntled All Star YES Network Cast

I'm really looking forward to former pitcher David Cone joining the bumble-fucked All Star Broadcasting team of the YES Network. Lucky for him, he gets to join David Justice, Michael Kay and Kim Jones and analyze games...

No really I would personally love to hear Bobby Murcer, Jim Kaat and David Cone on a regular basis instead of the Michael "80 Proof" Kay-Marv Albert- Kim Jones- David Justice crew. Maybe there is some hope for the YES Network Crew.

"Insistent that his right arm still had pitches to offer, Cone left New York to sign with the Red Sox for the 2001 season, going 9-7 with a 4.31 ERA. Cone retired following the season and joined the YES Network for its inaugural season, even joining the famed right field Bleacher Creatures for the season opener," Brian Hoch for MLB. This will be Cones first with Major League Baseball since going 1-3 with a 6.50 ERA in 2003 for the Mets. Cone briefly joined YES Network in 2002, but hopefully his great fan-relation skills will flourish this time around.

Queens Psycho Stores Bloody Syringes and Gauze Pads in Home

The Clemens Steroid Scandal took new flight when Clemens' former trainer and iron pumping mentor Brian McNamee dropped a major-league bombshell yesterday. McNamee has reportedly handed over evidence that could destroy any supposed truth to Clemens' under oath sworn deposition.

It appears to the public that Clemens may be f*cked. McNamee has given investigators syringes, viles and gauze pads that contain Clemens DNA and possibly evidence of Steroids and Human Growth Hormone. This appears to be the mere beginning of what will be an extremely strenuous and stressful war between Clemens and McNamee.

Scientific Experts claim there is no way to date DNA or any drugs derived from Rogers blood leaving it open to wonder if McNamee has tampered with evidence. Clemens states that the only things McNamee has ever injected into him were the vitamin B12 and the painkiller lidocaine. After sitting in McNamee's home for seven years, the big question is, what has happened to the evidence since then?

After Roger played a tape at a news conference of a phone conversation between himself and McNamee, who was unknowingly recorded, one of McNamee's lawyers said "It's War." It seems that the evidence was suddenly manufactured after the playing of the phone conversation leaving investigators to wonder why McNamee had not initially handed the evidence over. Is it possible that McNamee wanted Clemens to testify falsely under oath first? This would really have Clemens by the balls. But McNamee's lawyers claim that McNamee did not want to proclaim this evidence because of loyalty issues, which obviously do not exist anymore.

Clemens attorney Lanny Breuer stated"Brian McNamee is obviously a troubled man who is obsessed with doing everything possible to destroy Roger Clemens."

"Despite the desperate smears of Brian McNamee, Roger is looking forward to testifying before Congress next week to set the record straight. He will not waver."

In other news...

I will be hibernating from baseball until Thursday and then it's off to Yankee Baseball land for the 2007 Postseason... Then I will be over at the Stadium Games 3/4.

Oh wait, theres more Mutts ranting...

"Now to touch on Willie Randolph"

"This is easy to put the blame on him because he manages the 2006 NL East Champion Mets, and prob the best team in baseball up to sept 12. But willie doesnt play, and when he did he won. Willie is alittle cocky, arrogant sure, but who isent now adays with world series rings the size of willies, I dont blame him for this collapse besides the moronic move of starting humber in a big game situation, or over using the bullpen but willie could have hit better than reyes did so no, willie stays..if i was the gm...but see ya green, see ya mota, i could say see ya delgado and loduca but who's gonna play 1st and catcher for us."

(I could say see ya Delgado, your wrist is FUCKED!)

"All im saying is the mets werent hungry and dont deserve to be in the playoffs when your playing on day 162 and your not in you dont deserve it after being in a the nl lead for over 150 days."

"Goodbye 2007 season we had high hopes world series hopes but now i believe it's either gonna be cleveland, or philadelphia winning the crown this year."

Thoughts of a Frustrated Mets Fan

Quote of Andrew Baydala, A frustrated Mutts Fan:

"After being a Mets fan for 20 years i can honestly say that i have never been more sick to my stomach with this team. You dont play baseball like that my college team could win more than 4 god damn games in 17 games and they suck. Jimmy Rollins as hard as this is to say is prob going to be the NL MVP and he deserves it, Wright had a good year dont get me wrong, but it doesnt resemble what rollins did for the phils. Reyes, Jose, Jose, Jose, Jose how many times did u hear that this year at shea, now think how many times did u hear that at shea in sept. ZERO. Like the Mets are right now a ZERO. Reyes is the reason why the mets win, he is the table setter, without him the mets wont win. The bullpen which was totally over used, and overlooked come the trade deadline exploded on us. Thank you Dauaner Sanchez! u havent played in about 201 games thats horrible but collect you 5 million. And MOTA? dont even get me started his name says it all."

Jose Offerman Suspect in Michael Vick Gambling Ring

I respect women in baseball, but I'm sorry Suzyn Waldman, your voice has to go

Nothing, nothing, nothing tops this rofl

Awful voice

People Are Strange, When Your a Stranger. People are Strange, When You're Alone.

STILL FARNSWORTHLESS?

With his 2 best friends Scott Proctor and Brian Bruney gone, Kyle Farnsworthcontinues to improve. Having 4 good outings in a row, are his teammates gradually accepting him as a human being? Just recently as 2 weeks ago Farnsworth was reported to be a loner out in the bulllpen. If he decided to go sit in the air conditioned alcove, his reliever peers decided they weren't happy with his presence and went on outside to sit on the benches. When Kyle would go outside to sit on the benches, they would go inside and sit.

As all the Yankee relievers trotted to the dugout after a loss in the pouring rain, one strayed behind. Walking like a child in a schoolyard, Kyle Farnsworth strolled across the grass in the rain towards his teams dugout, alone.

There is no doubt that the Yankees need this mans arm to win for them. Farnsworth and his personality are as wanted as Filip Bondy is in the bleachers now a days. Maybe his lack of support and trust from his teammates is what causes him to become more of a basket case than Alex Rodriguez in October. He has recently shown much improvement in his last four outings and this may be the result of the patience and will of Torre and Guidry to help him become the pitcher they need him to be.
"I feel great," he said. "I know I can help this team, whether it's in the sixth, seventh or eighth inning. I just want to pitch and prove I deserve to pitch."

Kyle is a step by step man and needs to be dealt with a little at a time. With only 14 appearences since the All Star break maybe the Yankees are taking the right approach. The less he pitches, the less of a chance he has to blow games and have mental breakdowns day after day.

Birthday Woes

In the car ride home from my birthday evening dinner with my girlfriend instead of catching up on some phone calls, I turned on the game at 10:57. I heard that John Sterling voice rumbling my speakers "Aaaaaaaand Villone deals. Theres a strike."

I didnt waste my breath but just said in my head to myself "Ah Shit." Ron Villone is in the game at 10:57? Must be the bottom 4th, 3rd at the worst, either Mussina is up to the usual or he's hurt. So on and so forth its the bottom of the 2nd Suzyn Waldman caws "Mike Mussina blah blah, an inning and 2/3rd's." Instead of catching up on some phone calls again I decided to listen to a Yankees comeback and no lies, sure enough Bobby comes through with the HBO Award Hit of the game thing, according to John Sterling, who should have waited for Garret Andersons shot off of Edwar Ramirez.

I hate to bash the Yanks but when Jorge tied up the game last night I was hoping for 2 wins on my birthday and my Yankee feelings arent too pleasant.

13-5 as my birthday comes to an end and all i can do is hope for the best. And a comeback

E 162 st. & River Ave.?

The New Yankee Stadium. Many questions are still left out on the table about this corporate abomination being constructed(behind schedule) in what used to be the sandbox across the street.
George Steinbrenner has had the itch to build a new stadium and relocate out of the South Bronx since the 1980's. But when attendance shot up(mostly those jumping on the band wagon) in the 1990's , the Bronx had increased foot traffic and better security and the franchise was saved from having to pick up and rebuild outside the direct NY Metropolitan area.

But the times are a changin' and the influence of corporate puppets and their big bucks puts dollar signs in the eyes of the Yankees organization. It seems that they no longer care about the true fans. The days of the die-hard Super Fan are over and the days of the $uper Fan have already begun.

What about the original stadium grounds, and what will be in its place the day 50,000 corporate jerks in suits and ties wait online to enter the new stadium for the first time? The rush will be immense to get inside and visit the new digital monument park, sip their lates, eat at their restaurants and maybe even catch an inning and 2/3rd's of baseball.

The more I look at the crains shadowing over the left center field facade, the more I realize the legendary grounds nestled in the armpit of 161st street and River Avenue will only be but a memory. My current seat in Bleacher Section 39 will be nothing more than a spot for freshly potted trees and support stakes for dogs to be walked around and defecated on. The NOTICE: THE BLEACHERS ARE NOW ALCOHOL FREE sign will be changed to a CURB YOUR DOG or even a DON'T LITTER sign. What will become of the mound where thousands of pitchers stood in the SAME spot countless times to throw the ball to the SAME home plate where Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Derek Jeter, Phil Rizzuto, Lou Piniella, Charlie Hayes, Lou Gehrig, Joe Dimaggio once batted? The fact that there is a connection with all of those who have played on this ONE field year after year is mind boggling and anyone who opposes is either crazy or simply not fan enough to care.

If Babe Ruth were to be miraculously raised from the dead in 2010 and asked to be taken to his beloved playground what would he think? What blank thoughts would rush through his mind as he looked upon the area where he lived his dreams and held his wake?

Rumors, of course have spread and spread on the topic area of what will take the current stadiums place. One of my recent discussions with a Yankee Stadium staff member was about how the field is going to remain, the tier level would be "chopped off" and the field level "butchered" to host high school and non professional ball games (For a price... of course!) to play on the field where the Real Yankee Stadium once stood.
